Diono Radian 3R: All-in-one (rear-facing → forward-facing harness → high-back booster; no backless mode found in manual). Forward-facing floor is genuinely higher than the Radian 3RXT/3QXT siblings — manual: "infants who weigh less than 26.5 lb (12 kg) AND are under 1 year old MUST use this child restraint rear-facing" (both conditions apply). Expired 10 years from date of purchase.

Graco Sequel 65: Graco's manual sets rear- and forward-facing height by fit (head at least 1″ below the headrest handle), not a printed inch limit.

Printed verbatim in the manufacturer's manual (Diono Radian 3R Series Car Seat Instruction Manual · PD349423C); “—” = not published for that mode, “not yet sourced” = we haven't read that manual yet, not that the seat has no limit. How we source these →

Recall record

Diono — 2 on NHTSA's record · Graco — 17 on NHTSA's record.

That is the record of the brand — not a verdict on these models. A recall names specific models and manufacture-date ranges, and a seat missing from the record is not "recall-free": check nhtsa.gov/recalls with the model and date of manufacture on your seat's label.
